The Berlin meister of loop techno is back. Deep, forceful, melancholic and high on hooks: the elements necessary to craft a timeless track that can lead complete dance floors into ecstasy. Mike Bierbach, also known as Rødhåd, has done this multiple times during his rich career. At Etmaal, he’ll appear in many forms, but under his solo alias he’s coming to do what he was best at long before his own night/imprint Dystopian (2009) saw the light of day: creating the most subtly mixed, dub-heavy and trance-inducing sets in techno. Berlin breathes through TivoliVredenburg during Etmaal, and that’s for a big part because of the impeccable Rødhåd.
